Answers about expandable homes, ordering, shipping and support.

Models & layouts

How expansion works, model sizes and floor plans.

An expandable home is built with a central section and two side sections. The sides fold in for transport and open out at the destination to create the full living space. Qinbo homes are purpose-built with steel frames and insulated panels.

Our current range includes 20 ft, 30 ft and 40 ft expandable homes in both Modern and Classic styles. Each model has a selection of residential layouts. The model pages show the room arrangements, expanded dimensions and dimensions when folded for transport.

The main difference is the exterior frame styling. Modern and Classic are two design styles, rather than different quality levels. Both are available in 20 ft, 30 ft and 40 ft sizes. Compare their photographs and available layouts to choose the look and room arrangement you prefer.

Each model page shows its available layouts in 3D and 2D. You can also download individual 2D floor-plan PDFs from our Floor Plans page. Tell us the layout reference you prefer when you enquire.

Yes. We offer flexible layout options and can adapt a standard floor plan to better suit your needs.

Materials & durability

Insulation, weather resistance and lifespan.

We offer three insulation options: EPS (expanded polystyrene), PU (polyurethane) and rock wool. EPS sandwich panels are standard for our walls and roof, with PU and rock wool sandwich panels available to suit different project requirements. Tell us where and how you plan to use the home, and we can help you choose the insulation and confirm the panel specification in your quotation.

Ordering & production

Our factory, quotations, drawings and quality checks.

Our expandable homes are manufactured at our factory in Hebei, China. See our About page for a closer look at the factory and production facilities.

Tell us your preferred model, layout, quantity and destination port. We will prepare an itemised quotation covering the home, your selected options, sea freight and cargo insurance. If you are still choosing a layout or finish, we can help you compare the options.

Yes. We offer wholesale pricing for multi-home orders. Send us your quantities and preferred models for a project quotation.

After the order details and deposit are confirmed, we prepare drawings for your approval. We then prepare production drawings and materials, manufacture the home and carry out inspections before packing. The balance payment is received before loading and shipping, according to the agreed terms. You can see the stages on our Our Process page.

Yes. Drawing preparation and customer approval take place before the detailed production drawings and manufacturing stages. This is the point to review the agreed layout and configuration before the home is built.

We share production photos and videos so you can follow progress while your home is being made. These updates accompany the production process; inspections are also carried out during manufacturing and before shipping.

Each home undergoes quality inspections throughout production and before shipping, covering the frame, assembly, electrical and plumbing systems, waterproofing and packing. We share production photos and videos, and you can arrange an independent inspection before shipping.

Delivery & setup

Approvals, site preparation, shipping and support.

The approval requirements vary by location. Local rules may allow a home kept on a trailer without building approval, while a permanently installed home will usually need planning or building permits. Check the regulations that apply to your project with your local authority.
The site needs to be level, clear of obstructions and accessible for delivery. Depending on site conditions and local requirements, the home can be supported on compacted ground, concrete piers, a slab or concrete-free foundations. Unloading may require a forklift, a crane or both, with suitable lifting capacity for the home’s weight and sufficient access to the site.
We arrange sea shipping to your agreed destination port. The home travels in a shipping container with its side sections folded for transport. Sea freight and cargo insurance are included in our usual port quotation.

Allow approximately 9–16 weeks from deposit to arrival at your destination port:

  • Production: 4–7 weeks
  • Shipment preparation: 1–2 weeks
  • Sea transport: 4–7 weeks, depending on the destination

The timing depends on your configuration, the production schedule and the shipping route. We’ll confirm the expected schedule with your quotation.

We provide installation manuals and videos to guide you through setup. Our customer service team is also available to help with after-sales questions.
